About Yoga and meditation at Sojourn Kids

Practicing mindfulness, specifically through meditation and yoga, can help improve concentration, reduce anxiety and stress, promote inclusivity, and overall foster a kind, brave, loving environment for our kids. At Sojourn, our mission is emotional, spiritual, and social wholeness. Yoga and meditation are wonderful tools in carrying out our mission. Every few months the kids have yoga class in place of our regular programming and every Sunday we incorporate yogic tradition in our kids' lessons.

-Sojourn Kids have been practicing! One of our favorite resources for meditation with kids is “Breathe Like a Bear” by Kara Willey. We highly recommend adding this book to your home library and practicing with the kids at home.
